Silent Screens, by Michael Putnam. Whatever happened to the old silent movie theaters? Many b&w pictures; beautiful, but rather depressing). $27.97
Movie Palaces, by Ave Pildas. First published in 1980; many color pictures of palaces (fronts, marquees, insides and details). $20.97
Lone Star Picture Shows, by Richard Shroeder. There used to be quite a few movie palaces in Texas; saddly, most of them are gone. $24.47
The Last Remaining Seats: Movie Palaces of Tinseltown, by Robert Berger and Anne Conser. Beautiful pictures of old Los Angeles palaces; you can admire some of those pictures in the Los Angeles section. $22.40
