Movie theaters in movies :Chorus Line
Chorus Line was the longest running musical on Broadway (fifteen years or so!) The film adaptation appears a bit flat, but it allowed a younger crowd to discover the show (there even were some 70mm prints). Almost all the movie is shot in the theater, except for a few scenes; in this one, the Embassy 1 can be seen (right, below the McDonald's sign).
About the Embassy 1: single screen theater, nicely decorated, with 600 seats and a not-so big 8m screen (which played some 70mm prints); it was named Embassy 1 when a nearby three screen theater was named Embassy 2, 3, 4 (it can be seen i Fear City). The four auditoriums are now closed, but Embassy 1 was restored and turned into a visitors center; Embassy 2, 3, 4 is empty and has been for sale for a while, its marquee can still be seen.
